Mr Andr? KLEIN
Visit to Center by Mr. André KLEIN
Date: Friday, 29 May 2009, 13:00-13:30
Venue: Hosei University Research Center for International Japanese Studies
On 29 May 2009 a visit was made to the Hosei University Research Center for International Japanese Studies (HIJAS) by André Klein, Director of Centre Européen D’Études Japonaises D’Alsace (CEEJA), which is located in Kientzheim near the ancient city of Colmar in Alsace, France.
There has been a research partnership between CEEJA and HIJAS over the last two years, and since 2007 an annual joint symposium has been held at the CEEJA. Spring 2009 also saw the CEEJA kindly hosting the overseas course for the Philosophy Department Seminar of the Faculty of Letters, Hosei University.
This visit by Mr Klein further provided opportunity to discuss the plans which are already underway for this year’s joint symposium (theme: “Body, Embodiment” scheduled for 1-3 November). There was also important sharing of views relating to future cooperation between the two institutions.
