Transnational Japan Workshop Series(5)
Politics of “Kuki” and Transnationality
「空気」の政治とトランスナショナリティ
As part of the Transnational Japan workshop Series at HIJAS, we cordially invite you to our upcoming event, Politics of “Kuki” and Transnationality. Would “Kuki” be considered unique to Japanese culture? How do the diversity and transnationality (de)construct “Kuki” communication? Kei Takata and Christophe Thouny will bring insights from cultural and social theories and different communication cultures from the US, Europe, Japan, and beyond to examine the politics behind “Kuki.” The workshop tries to deepen our understanding of the topic through discussion with the floor.
