Summary:
Hosei University Research Center for International Japanese Studies held the Award Ceremony and the Lecture for the 1st Professor Josef Kreiner Hosei University Award for International Japanese Studies at Hosei University on 12th December 2015. In this time Dr. Marco Tinello of the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice was the winner of the award. The title of the paper was “An Investigation of the Edo-Meijo Transition through the Lens of the Ryukyuan Embassies to Japan” and Dr. Tinello made the ceremonial speech based on his paper. Further Professor Emeritus Dr. Josef Kreiner made the commemorative speech entitled with “The Meaning of Okinawan Studies for International Japanese Studies”.
