Executive Summary
In this time, Dr. Mifune examined formation and development of the Urashima Tale based on history books or old literatures like Kojiki, Kojiki, Nihonshoki, Manyoshu, Tanbanokuni Fudoki, or Otogi Zoshi. Dr. Mifune also discussed originality and similarity of Urashima Tale comparing with similar folk literature in East Asian Countries.
