<Executive Summary>
Hosei University Research Center for International Japanese Studies (HIJAS) held 2nd East Asia Culture Research Meeting of 2011. Theme was “On the Methodology of Reseach of Histroy of Ideas in China” and speaker was Dr. Wili Chen. In this meeting, Dr. Chen summarised Hisotory of Ideas in Modern Japan written by Liu Yuebing of Nankai University, China and examine the characteristics and the originalities of this book. Then Dr. Chen discussed about the meaning of research of history of ideas in China and made some suggestion to develop this field more.
