“Japanese Research from out of Iran: the Challenge of Area Studies”

Dean of Faculty of Global Studies at Tehran University, Iran, Professor Ameli, who was in Japan by invitation from the Japan Foundation, visited Hosei University on Tuesday, 24 February, and there was opportunity for a meeting with the Professor for Governor Hoshino, Director Abiko and Staff Member Wang in the Kudan Buildings. Tehran University Faculty of Global Studies is planning to create a Japanese Department in 2010, and Dean Ameli was visiting Japan to gather information for this end, and to strengthen ties. There was an enthusiastic exchange of ideas, and Dean Ameli was keen to refer to the experience of the Research Center for International Japanese Studies in establishing an organization, and expressed a wish to develop positive cooperation in research.
